Wordless Wednesday

Stacking blocks

Jenna loves stacking tall towers out of her cups and blocks.
The best part about it for her is knocking her creation down.

Peach Picking

Tim found somewhere he wanted to go peach picking. As we piled in the car and programmed the GPS I soon realized how far this trip was going to take. I wasn't all in.  Seemed like a far drive just for some peaches.  It was one of those I know someone who knows someone who is related.  I have to admit though once we were there I did realized it was worth the family time.  We had nothing else going on that morning so why not?  The girls had fun playing in the orchard and picking the peaches.  Just as any other farm fresh produce, it just doesn't get any better.

We stopped at a small diner on the way home.  It was one of those old school oh so yummy probably butter filled and cooked with more butter kind of diners.  Yep, the good stuff.
We had so many peaches.   we gave some to family and baked with what we could. There was no way we were going to eat them all before they went bad.  Tim studied up on canning and canned so many peaches that will last us much longer.

Brooke's 1st Day of 1st Grade

Brooke woke up ready for her 1st day of 1st grade.
oh my doesn't she look happy and ready to start the day.

As we walked up she started talking about being scared.

And then she was all smiles once she reached her classroom and saw her teacher.

1st Tooth Lost

Brooke finally lost her first tooth.  She has been asking and wondering why she hasn't lost a tooth.  She was worried she would be the only person in her class this year that hasn't lost a tooth.  It has been loose for weeks and finally it fell out.  At her Grandma's house.  Yep, first tooth gone at an overnight sleepover with Grandma.  She wrote the tooth fairy a note all about how she didn't want her to take it until she was home.  The tooth fairy left some of her glitter and a note back.  The next night she was home and oh so excited for the tooth fairy to visit.  Only she totally forgot in the morning until I reminded her.

Overnight lake trip

There aren't many days Tim and I both have off together. This particular week we somehow had 2 days off in a rown. He wanted to get some more time in at the lake.
All of them on the golf cart for some lake fun.

This would be the last time I will buy cheese puffs for them.  Thank goodness everyone was in their bathing suit.  Once they were in the water the orange powder that coated their hands, face and clothes magically disappeared.

Chillin'

Swimmin'

Nappin'

Brooke named herself Captain Jackie because obviously Captain Jack could only be for a boy.  Gesh.

Jenna was a little harder to keep entertained.
She was having fun learning to stack her cups.

Brooke rode her bike up and down the road over and over.  It was hard to peel her out of her bathing suit.

A few more lake pictures

My phone and instagram have become an easy source for a camera lately. Trying to keep it all organized is another task. Here are a few more goodies from the lake.

Writing her name on the rock

Feeding the duck

Jenna loved walking around in the water

and playing in the sand

Lindsey fell asleep just like this in the little boat.  She had been screaming when we put her in the water.  In order to let the other two play in the water we had to put Lindsey in the boat and pull her around with us.

Jenna trying to see what was going on.

Lets just say Lindsey and Jenna aren't best of friends yet.

Brooke was playing around trying to catch all the little fish in the water.  When she caught one she would put it in her bucket she filled with water.  Pretty soon she would release a few because they were "lazy" and "sleeping too much".  Belly up that is.

Outdoor fun

The summer has been fairly mild making it good to play outside.
Jenna is now walking behind the Elmo car.  Lindsey is not happy that she has to share her outside toys at all.  Brooke is so fast on her bike now that the training wheels have been off all summer. She has quite a few friends in the neighborhood she likes to play with.

Maize likes to stand guard in this particular spot.

More pushing the Elmo car.  This thing still makes all the fun noises even though it was once Brooke's and is an outside toy.

Lindsey's usual-walking with the baby doll stroller.
