February Artwork

I need to get better about keeping up with all the paper and artwork that fills backpacks and pours in my house. I have so many ideas but most sit on the countertop or get secretly pitched in the garbage outside. It is not good when I am caught throwing any school projects away.

Break for a swim

We took a Sunday to just put everything we wanted to get done and forget about it. The morning was spent in pjs with pancakes for breakfast. The afternoon we headed to the gym for a few hours of swim time together.  Lindsey has been doing so well with swimming at PMD we wanted to see it for ourselves.  The girl does loves the pool.

Speaking of water baby, take a look at this one.  I had to sneek a picture when she wasn't paying attention.  Brooke has finally figured out this swimming thing.  She was going back and forth.  She even wanted her lifejacket on so she could try racing one of us in the lap section.

Happy Valentines Day

 

As part of Jenna's pictures I wanted a Valentine picture.  It was running past naptime and she had done so good with all the pictures that morning.  This was the last set of pictures and she made it known she was done!

Jenna 8 Months

Seriously, 8 months?  Where does the time go?
Jenna's personality shines just as she does.  Happy baby doesn't begin to describe Jenna.  Her face lights up with a big open mouth grin every time you talk to her.  She loves playing with her toys on the floor and jumping in her jumparoo.  She has many tickle spots.  Her laugh is quite contagious.  Green vegetables are still a no go gagging fiasco.  She feeds herself puffs and chews on her sippy cup.  She rolls until she gets stuck on something.  Jenna is also loving to hear her self babble and can get pretty loud when she is having fun.

My darling Jenna is getting so big. I pulled out the high chair last week to start feeding her in that vs the bouncy seat or bumbo. I dread the highchair.  It is another bulky baby item that has become part of my kitchen for the last 6 years.  It was like she grew up just by putting her in there.  I say now I can't wait to be done with all the baby gear.  The reality when the time comes is another reminder of how my babies have grown. 

Brooke used to sit in that same highchair and now is a great big sister feeding Jenna.

A mess is sometimes what happens when she eats.
Jenna still won't eat anything green.  Peas and green beans end up going to waste.  Messy?  Oh yes!  Jenna wants to "help".  She grabs the spoon right out of your hand faster than you can get the next bite.  You would think by the 3rd kid I could keep the mess to a minimum.  This girl is all up in the mess. 
Proof- carrots for lunch.  Not exaggerated a bit.  I probably even scraped some off the one side of her face with the spoon.
