MIA

Things have been busy and the computer has not been behaving.  My pictures are lost somewhere on there.  Tim has been working on it when he can.  Hope to post some pictures soon.

March Artwork

Brooke's class had a week of Eric Carle books and activities.
A few more treasures. The one with what looks like a red monster is Brooke's copy of Elmo in Grouchland. She was making a move poster for her friends. Lindsey has been bringing many more treasures from school. The bottom picture is from a monster book they were reading in her class. She completed it with hand over hand assist. Brooke also made some ballerinas with cupcake liners for skirts. Click http://pinkandgreenmama.blogspot.com/2012/02/ballerina-paper-dolls-with-cupcake.html for more on that.

Happy Easter

St. Patrick's Day Fun

I figured I should probably post the St. Patrick's Day photos before Easter.
Brooke make clovers using a pepper as a stamp.
We made a green jello pop poke cake. I wasn't so sure about lime jello but it was so yummy it didn't last long. I tried adding a couple tablespoons of the jello to the cool whip frosting to give it some favor and color. We did still have to add the food coloring but it did flavor it and even made it so it didn't get all runny.
There were quite a few storms that came through in March. Brooke was so excited when I let her run outside and collect some hail in a cup. She put it in the freezer so she could show her Dad.

DSAGT Easter Party

Saturday was the annual Easter party with our local Down syndrome association. Both girls had a blast. The party started with some dancing.

I can't say for certain but I am pretty sure Lindsey knows the chicken dance. Something I have never tried with her. Whether it was mimicking all the other kids or not this girl likes to chicken dance.

Everyone was so excited to see the Easter Bunny. Lindsey's hands went over her eyes at first but when she saw all the people looking at her and taking pictures she was all smiles. She finished off with having quite a few stare downs with the bunny. The bunny was just politely sitting watching all the kids when on multiple occasions Lindsey would just stand right in front of her staring, studying this fuzzy animal before her.

No easter party is complete without an Easter egg hunt.

Lindsey is so not happy about the grass. It can't be the way the grass feels considering it is not touching a single part of her. Our only reasoning is that the ground is uneven when she is in the grass. She was not happy! I love Derrick behind her looking at her like what the heck, its only grass. My girls are drama queens!

Get me the heck on the pavement!

Brooke painting what is an easter egg but to her it was a globe.
