Lights at the Zoo

A little lights at the Zoo fun.

Lindsey's first "walk" through the lights.

The beloved dancing lights.

Christmas

Since Tim didn't get there till a little later than expected Santa's Christmas pretty much went right to my side of the family Christmas.
Brooke and Leah showing off their Stompeeze.  Brooke still loves them and they actually are pretty cute slippers.

My mom excited about her Kindle Fire.

Leah and her Doc McStuffins.  Funny story behind that but I should probably keep it off the blog.

My Dad loving his new fishing gear.

Jenna having fun with Aunt Christa and Tyler.

Play Doe fun at my parents house.  Let me repeat that Play Doe at my parents house.  Oh my.

Jenna's First Christmas.  The outfit lasted all of 15 minutes till she pooped right through it.  Just like her sister did on her first Christmas dress.

Christmas Morning

We stayed the night at my parents house for Christmas. Tim was late getting off work so we had some time to waste waiting for him.

It was torture for Brooke waiting.  She kept asking if she could at least just look in her stocking.  Once Tim arrived it was a blur of present opening.

I think Lindsey wanted to know why santa didn't put snacks in her snack catcher.

Jenna was ready to nap so she didn't finish right away.

Lindsey signing for "more" presents.

Reading her books.

Snow time

We had our first snowfall of the season shortly after Christmas. Brooke was thrilled to wake up and see the snow.  We didn't get nearly as much as my parents and my sisters did.  Brooke was jealous of the pictures they sent for her to see.  Either way she was ready to get outside and play.

I wasn't sure about the layers of snow pants, boots, gloves, hat and coat with Lindsey.  She doesn't like to be restricted. All I could pictures was the little boy in The Christmas Story rolling around on his back in the snow yelling for Ralphie's help.  One glimpse of the stroller and the girl was happy to be outside playing.  Snow or no snow Lindsey was walking with her stroller.

Brooke's "this isn't snowman snow" face.

Christmas Eve

This year was a little different for the girls. Tim had to work Chritmas Eve going in to Chritmas Day so we did things a little different. Chritmas Eve like when I was a kid.
This picture doesn't show how much cheese puff powder there really is all over her face.

Excited for a new toy.

Brooke not so excited about the race track.  That face didn't last but only a few seconds and then she thought it was actually a fun toy.

Pretty Jenna

Pretty Santa

Santa Baby on her way to Grandma and Papa's

The Ripping has begun

The firsts of the Christmas celebrations have begun.

Lindsey is tearing up the presents.  So keep your presents close because she isn't looking for names.
Anything wrapped in Elmo paper must be mine!

She was putting on clothes as she went. Still haven't hit the age of throwing clothes to the side.

Nerf gun fun

The faces.  Love the faces!

Build A Doggie

Brooke wanted to buy Lindsey something for Christmas with her own money. I had a few things to do that day so off we went.  How we ended up at Build A Bear?  The sweet little face of Brooke.  She wanted to build a a dog and get Lindsey a gift card with the rest of her money for Christmas.  She picked out a cute dog she named Peppermint.

She had her own little purse with her that day.
Brushing her puppy.

and at last getting her dressed.

Disney on Ice

One of the first things the girls did on winter break was go to see Disney on Ice.  They loved it!

Well Brooke did up until I wouldn't buy her a snow cone.  Yep, that would be her angry I'm not getting my way face no matter how hard I try.  $15 for a scoop of ice, Rip off!  There were kids all around us crying for snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy and all those light up toys.  I wasn't the only parent not willing to cave for the inflated prices because my kid cries.  I say Disney you are the mean ones!  We stopped for treats on the way home instead.

Lindsey didn't take her eyes off the show.  She was clapping and dancing along the whole time.

Brooke's School Winter Party

I was able to help out with Brooke's winter party at school. They had all sorts of fun and it is nice to see how Brooke is in the classroom with her friends.

I was in charge of a game so I went with a pin the nose on rudolph game.  The kids loved it!

Brooke's friends at her table.

Craft time

I was a good start to all the Christmas celebrating that was to come.
