Since I haven't been the best blogger now that the weather is so nice I thought I should give a little update on busy Miss Lindsey. The week we were leaving for our trip out to Vegas she spiked a fever over 103 and broke out in a rash that we figured was most likely roseola. No big deal, once the fever was done the rash came on and she never really fussed. The rash did get pretty bad on her face and chest but she did just fine with it.
Once we were back from Vegas she started with the fevers and this time a cough. She was fussy and just generally not feeling well. I took her to the Dr and found out she had an upper respiratory infection plus and ear infection. Um, tubes? Nope she couldn't see one in the left ear. We have an appointment with the ENT to check that out. Lindsey has now finished up the antibiotics along with the ear drops and is feeling much better.
Now to the fun stuff. This girl is on to go. I could hardly snap a picture of her as she came at me when she saw the camera. She does get around quite a bit more now up on all fours instead of all army crawling. She is all over the place getting in things and knocking down towers her sister has built. I am not so sure Brooke is happy about Lindsey being so mobile.
Lindsey pulls up to her knees well and has just started to pull to stand up to us only. I wish her Leap Frog table was just a little taller so she would have to pull to stand to that. Instead she is happy sitting beside it banging the buttons. Oh well, I can figure out other ways to make her stand.
Ah, feeding, my least favorite thing. Lindsey is getting better about some foods but still spits most of the food back at me. She is willing to keep more food in her mouth for Tim. I don't get it, but at least I know she can. He had her eating his pizza last night. Ah, the teeth. She has just the 2 lonely bottom teeth still. That is until the other day when she was laughing in her highchair I noticed something white way back in her mouth. Double checking to make sure it wasn't food and I found a molar that is over half way through. What a trooper, never put up a fuss other than already being sick. Now if I could just get the thumb to stay out of her mouth between bites. Lindsey is a thumb sucker for sure!
Probably the happiest of all, I have managed to ditch the bottle this week. I finally just had enough with it. I knew she could do it, I have seen it. I had 2 people ask me if she was thirsty did I think she would take milk from the cup if that was the only way to get it. I tried, and what do you know, she not only drank it but will hold it. All this coming from a girl that still wouldn't hold her bottle. I decided I would keep the night time bottle just until I know she is getting enough in for now but will be throwing a pack the bottles away party when I know she is good.
